About Banaras Hindu University (BHU) UTTAR PRADESH
Formerly known as Central Hindu College, Banaras Hindu University (popularly known as BHU Varanasi) is a central university recognised by the UGC and accredited with an ''A'' Grade by the NAAC. It is also a member of the AIU. BHU is ranked 5 and 11 in the ''University'' and ''Overall'' categories by the NIRF Rankings 2023. Banaras Hindu University has signed MoUs with over 40 national and foreign universities to offer better exposure to the students and faculty members. Since BHU has collaborated with multiple universities, a large number of students from foreign countries like the USA, the countries of Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, etc. come to study here. Application Process for CUET Examination:
Step I:
Candidates will have to visit the official website of CUET.
Step II:
Click on Register present at the top right corner.
Step III:
Fill in all the required basic and personal details.
Step IV:
Check if the information given by you in the application form is correct. Edit the application form if the information is not correct.
Step V:
Select the University and the Program from the drop-down menu.
Step VI:
Select the Test Paper / Subject(s) selection for CUET.
Step VII:
Fill in the language for the CUET exam.
Step VIII:
Select the City preference in order to get allotted the nearest city for the CUET test.
Step IX:
Upload all the required documents.
Step X:
Review the application form.
Step XI:
Tick all the checkboxes if the information given by you and appearing on the application form is true.
Step XII:
Make an online payment through a secure payment mechanism to pay the application fee.
Step XIII:
Download and Print the application form for further use.

Merit based Scholarships
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) offers financial assistance and scholarships to meritorious and needy students. Here are some of the scholarships offered by BHU:
Blind students:
Blind students are offered free lunch and dinner under the Annadaan Yojna. In addition, 20 blind students receive a scholarship of INR 5,000 per annum each.
Top rank holders:
Students who secure first and second ranks in their respective examinations are awarded a scholarship of INR 4,000 and INR 3,000, respectively.
Students from economically weak backgrounds:
100 students coming from economically weak backgrounds are granted a scholarship of INR 2,000 per annum.
Pyare Lal - Prem Vati Memorial Scholarship:
This scholarship worth INR 10,000 is awarded to the student enrolled in the MBA programme who tops the first-year exams.
S.N. Ranade Scholarship:
This scholarship is offered to the academically best students enrolled in the MBA Agri-Business programme.
