Established in 1998, the Dehradun Institute of Technology or DIT University was founded by the Unison Group. It acquired the status of Deemed University in 2013 approved by the University Grant Commission (UGC).
The University is part of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is the first University in Uttarakhand to receive QS I-Gauge E-Lead, a certificate for exceptional e-learning methods such as academic digitization.
Being an ISO 21001:2018 certified university, it offers more than 50+ undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, PG diploma and doctoral courses across various streams such as Engineering and Technology, Architecture and Design, Economics, and Applied Science.
Further, the DIT University courses are approved by regulatory bodies like the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Council of Architecture (COA) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

DIT University Admission Process
Step 1: Visit the official website of DIT University.
Step 2: Pay Registration Fee of INR 1250 (Non-Refundable).
Step 3: Send a formal request for ''Conditional Admission Offer'' through email at admissions2021@dituniversity.edu.in, with all the valid documents to be attached.
Step 4: If ''Conditional Admission Offer'' is approved, the candidate shall deposit the Admission Fee of INR 15000 (Fifteen Thousand Only) through Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Demand Draft. For students applying for the MBA Program, it is mandatory to clear the GD & PI prior to the payment of Fee.
Step 5: Issuance of ''Conditional Admission Offer Letter'' via email.
The following documents must be submitted at the time of registration:
- Degree or Pass certificate of the qualifying examination
- High School Certificate (For date of birth)
- Identity proof issued by Govt.
- Entrance Exam Scorecard
- Domicile Certificate (Only for UK residents)
- Downloaded copy of the Registration Form
- Gap Certificate
- Grade/mark sheet of the qualifying examination
