MDI Gurgaon Admission process

Admission to MDI Gurgaon is a 3 stage process for its Flagship PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-IB, which is described below:

Stage 1- Eligibility check and application

The student needs to register to apply to MDI Gurgaon before the CAT exam is held i.e. in the last week of November. Any student with the following eligibility can apply:

• At least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in both class X and XII
• Bachelor's Degree (minimum 3 years for PGDM and PGDM-HRM; Minimum 4 years for PGDM-IB), with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
• Candidates appearing for the final examination for the Bachelor's degree (or equivalent examination) can also apply to the PGDM and PGDM-HRM
• Applicants to the PGDM-IB programme must possess a minimum of 1 year (one year) work experience

Stage 2- Shortlisting

Candidates are short-listed for GD-PI Round from among the candidates who have a valid CAT-2022 score, who have applied for admission to MDI Gurgaon and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme

The Shortlisted candidates need to login at MDI website and enter their order of programme preference for PGPM/PGP-IB/PGP-HRM. Preferences once filled will not be changed at any stage later on

Stage 3- Final Selection

After the GD-PI round between February - April, final admission offers will be made to successful candidates in April. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in GD-PI, academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements, work experience among others

Summer Internship

• A total of 123 internship offers were made to the PGDM-HRM students in the 2024 summer internship placement.
• There has been a 35% increase in the offers made in the Automobile & Conglomerate domain. 
• The highest stipend is offered in the Technology and Telecom sector. 

Merit based Scholarships

MDI Scholarships offers a few scholarships to its PGPM students. These scholarships include institute-level, international and outside scholarships. The details are as follows:

• OP Jindal scholarship of Rs 1.5 lakh for second-year students
• At the end of the second year, MDI also offers five merit scholarships of Rs 10,000 each to the top five students
• A few international scholarships are also provided to the students of MDI who go on the exchange programme to MDI’s partner universities/B-schools, such as Sciences Po Lille (Lille) University of Maribor, NUCB Business School (Japan), etc.

Apart from the scholarships for PG students, MDI Gurgaon offers FPM scholarship of a maximum of four years for non-MBA students and three years for MBA students. For the first two years, the scholarship amount will be Rs 24,000 per month and for the remaining duration, it will be Rs 26,000 per month. Moreover, a contingency grant is also given to FPM students to support their fieldwork, purchase of books, and other expenses.

The institute also offers a facility of education loans and has partnered with a lot of banks such as Canara Bank, Allahabad Bank, and Bank of Maharashtra, among others, for the same.
