Nalanda University is located in Rajgir, Bihar and was established in 2010 by an Act of the Indian Parliament. In 2021, the University received two awards, namely the?European Society for Quality Research (ESQR) Quality Research Award and the Ministry of Education’s Green Champion Award (2021-22). Nalanda University offers postgraduate, doctoral, diploma, and certification courses through five schools and two centres of education in the streams of Management, Historical Sciences, Languages, and a few more. At PG level, the University offers two-year courses, namely MSc, MA and MBA. Nalanda University offers a four-year PhD course in both full-time and part-time modes. Summer Internship

Merit based Scholarships

The university provides two types of scholarship programs as Merit Scholarships & Means-cum-Merit Scholarships. Nalanda University offers scholarships for both international & national students. 

The aids are for those who are academically good and financially backward. 

Students whose family income is less than INR 4.5 LPA can avail of the Means-cum-Merit scholarship. Students need to apply for this scholarship aid before July as the deadline for the application is July, every year. 

Both the scholarships are waivers of tuition fees, residential and mess charges. Students studying the Regular PhD program will be awarded a fellowship per month as per Nalanda University norms.
