PAU was established in 1962 and was inaugurated by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Prime Minister of India on July 8, 1963. It works in active collaboration with CGIAR institutes (CIMMYT, IRRI, ICRISAT, ICARDA, CIAT), University of Wisconsin, Purdue University, Olds College, University of Western Australia, among others. Punjab Agriculture University is recognised by the UGC and is also got ISO 9001: 2008 Certification. PAU has four constitute colleges which include College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, College of Basic Sciences & Humanities, College of Community Science and College of Horticulture and Forestry The university provides various ungergraduate, postgraduate, and integrated programmes. PAU Admission Process

Application form can be filled online or offline by following the below-listed steps:

Online Mode:

1. Visit the official website of PAU, Ludhiana.
2. Fill the application form and pay the application fee of INR 5320 by Credit/ Debit Card or through Net-Banking or Challan.
3. Take the printout of duly filled form and send it to the below mentioned along with the transaction statement:

Note:  In case of payment through Challan, download the challan form of Punjab National Bank. Send the university copy of challan along with the printout of application form to PAU address.

Offline Mode:

1. Prospectus and application form can be obtained in person on payment INR 2120 in cash at the counter from

Merit based Scholarships

Dr S.K. Vasal Scholarship-
This scholarship @ ` 1500/- per month shall be awarded to one M.Sc. student with the highest
OCPA in the discipline of Plant Breeding and Genetics.

Mrs Jaswant Kaur Bindra w/o Dr Onkar Singh Bindra Scholarship-
This scholarship @ ` 3000/- per month plus contingency grant of ` 5000/- per annum shall be awarded to one M.Sc. student with the highest rank in the admission list from the discipline of Entomology.

PAU Placements 2025

 The highest salary package offered ranges from 5 LPA-6 LPA. HDFC, Amul and some government companies visit here for placements. Students have to search for internships on their own, and they have to visit companies and get selected.
